I am so craving for Polly’s Chocolate Cake by Polly Garilao. This cake has been in my mind ever since I tasted it when one of my officemates brought one for her birthday.
Don’t let the simple presentation deceive you. Beneath the no-frill, regular shiny icing is the yummiest cake I have ever tasted. It’s so rich and soft yet it’s not too overpowering.
Bad news for me is it is available at Shell Magallanes Station which is kind out of the way for me from work to home.
Good news is that I discovered that it is available at Rockwell during their weekend sale of baked goodies at the food court. I was pleasantly surprised while I was browsing through the displays when I saw the familiar brown box of Polly’s.
My only problem now is how to control my sweet tooth. The only time I hated chocolate was when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. Plus, Rockwell is just a mere 5-10 minute drive from our house and there’s always an excuse for me for a quick trip to the mall.
note: I will be in Pampanga for the holidays so I might not have internet access for the next couple of days.
